Centurion is a self-paced productivity roleplaying game inspired by Ancient Rome. The game helps you organize and keep track of your goals and tasks. The Gloria leveling system is designed to gamify productivity, create better habits, and build discipline while achieving your objectives. As you go through the game and accomplish your in-real-life goals you will gain or lose Gloria (XP), earn new Titles, unlock new milestones, and find and use various items. Your success will be determined by the ambition of your goals and the determination to keep working at them.

Your journey starts with a Mandate or Mandata. A Mandate is the mission you assign yourself. It can be a quick class or work project, a month's long objective, or a yearlong personal goal. You can make it as vague or as specific as you want. Assign yourself a Mandate and work towards it by completing various related Tasks until you can truthfully say that you have completed it.

Name & Description

Start with a name for your Mandate. Do you want to start a business? Launch a YouTube channel? Pass a final exam? Get a better-paying job? Add an optional description for your own reference.

Category & Color

Pick a category from the list or create your own. Click Edit categories inside the form to add, rename, or delete categories and assign a color to each one.

Due Date

Assign a due date for your Mandate. The longer the duration, the more Gloria you can earn. If you do not complete the Mandate by the due date you will not receive the Gloria reward or loot boxes. The next time you open the Dashboard after the due date passes, a popup will appear asking you to resolve it — complete it, accept a penalty, or reschedule to a new date. You can also edit the due date at any time from the Mandate card to extend it before it expires.

Gloria Reward

The Gloria Reward is the experience you earn upon completing the Mandate. Use the suggested amount or adjust it based on the importance and urgency of your goal. It cannot exceed the cap set by your chosen duration.

The Mandate Card

Once created, your Mandate appears at the top of the Dashboard showing its name, category, days remaining, and a streak bar. You can Complete, Edit, or Delete it at any time — but for the app to be fully effective, be honest with yourself.

Mandate Streak

Each Mandate tracks its own daily streak — how many consecutive days you have completed at least one linked Task. Every streak day adds +1% bonus Gloria to Tasks on that Mandate, up to a maximum of +100% at day 100. Missing a day resets the streak, so try to complete at least one linked Task each day.

Equipping a Wearable item shifts the streak bonus upwards from the start — so even on day 1 you begin with a meaningful bonus rather than +1%.

Mandate Limit

You can have up to 12 active Mandates at once. The counter next to the Mandates heading shows your current usage. Complete or delete existing Mandates to make room for new ones.

Today Mandate

The Today duration option creates a quick daily mandate that is only active for the current day. If it goes unfinished, it silently archives itself overnight — no overdue popup, no Gloria penalty. Use it for loose daily intentions that do not warrant a multi-day commitment.

Completing a Mandate

You cannot mark a Mandate as complete while it still has pending Tasks. All linked Tasks must be completed or deleted first. This keeps your records accurate and ensures no loose ends slip through.

Tasks are the daily actions that move your Mandates forward. Every completed Task rewards Gloria and keeps your Mandate streak alive.

Quick Tasks

Add a Quick Task from within a Mandate card or by clicking Quick Task at the top of the Tasks section. Give it a name, set the priority (Critical, Urgent, Moderate, or Low), choose whether it is due Today or Tomorrow, and optionally link it to a Mandate. Gloria rewards by priority: Critical +20, Urgent +15, Moderate +10, Low +5.

Scheduled Tasks

To schedule a Task with a specific date and time, click the Scheduled Task button or use the + button on any future date in the Calendarium.

• When scheduling for today, past times are grayed out — only future time slots can be selected.
• Repeating Tasks (Daily, Weekdays, Every Other Day, Weekly, Monthly) automatically create the next occurrence when you complete one.
• Add a short note (up to 200 characters) to any Task by clicking the add note button on the Task card.
• You can edit or delete any Task at any time.

The Weekly Campaign is a time-block planner on your Dashboard that lets you map out the week ahead in 30-minute slots from 6 AM to 11 PM. It always shows the 2 days behind today and 5 days ahead, giving you a rolling 8-day planning window. A live red line marks the current time on today's view.

Placing Tasks

• Drag method — drag a task chip from the tray at the top directly onto the time slot where you want it.
• Slot method — hover over any future slot and click the golden + that appears.

Overdue Timing

If a task is assigned to a Weekly Campaign block, the overdue penalty triggers at the end of that block — giving you the full window to complete it.

When you are finished for the day, click the 🌙 Done for the Day button below the Tasks header.

• You will see a summary of your total Gloria earned and Tasks and Mandates completed today.
• Any Tasks still due today can be pushed to tomorrow so they do not pile up.
• Using this button is optional but a good way to close out your day.

Gloria is your experience points. Every completed Task and Mandate earns you Gloria. Progress from Pleb all the way to Augustus across 100 levels.

• Equipping a Weapon boosts all Gloria you earn by a percentage.
• Mandate streaks add a daily bonus on top.
• Gloria can also be lost — failing to complete overdue Tasks and Mandates incurs a one-time Gloria penalty.
• If your Gloria total drops below your current level threshold, you will be demoted.

Leveling Up

Leveling up is manual. When you have enough Gloria, a ⚡ Level Up! button appears in the sidebar. Each level-up awards you a random Consumable item.

Titles

Titles change every 5 levels. When you reach a new title, a 👑 New Title! button appears in the sidebar. Claim it to receive a reward — Denarii or a loot box.

The Calendarium shows all your Tasks laid out on a monthly calendar.

• Repeating Tasks are projected forward so you can see every future occurrence at a glance.
• Mandate deadlines appear in red so you never miss one.
• Click any day that has items to see the full list of Tasks and Mandates due on that date.
• Click the golden + on any future date to quickly create a Scheduled Task for that day.

The Arca is your inventory — the place where you keep all the trophies collected throughout your campaign. It holds up to 20 items.

• Earn loot boxes by completing Mandates on time, hitting Task milestones (every 25 Tasks), and maintaining daily streaks.
• Each box gives one random item: Basic, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, or Mythical.
• Selling an item returns Denarii — higher rarity items are worth more.

Equipment Slots

• ⚔️ Weapon — adds a flat % bonus to all Gloria earned. Higher rarity = larger bonus (Basic +5% … Mythical +50%).
• 🛡️ Shield — reduces Gloria lost from penalties. Basic 10%, Uncommon 20%, Rare 30%, Legendary 50%, Mythical 70%.
• Wearable — raises the starting point of your Mandate streak bonus.

Certain items belong to named sets. Equip all three pieces (Weapon, Shield, Wearable) of the same set to unlock a powerful Set Bonus on top of individual item bonuses. Each item card shows Part of X Set · y/3 so you always know how close you are.

Denarii is the in-game currency shown in the Centurion panel and on your Character page.

• Earn +1 Denarii for every Task you complete.
• Claim 100–200 Denarii as a title reward when you reach a new title.
• Sell items from the Arca to receive Denarii.
• Spend Denarii in the Shop to buy a specific item or loot box.
• Lose Denarii if demoted — 20% for a level loss, 50% for a title loss.

The Shop lets you spend Denarii on a curated selection of specific items or Consumables. Not every item is available here — many are loot-box exclusive. The Shop is for when you want something specific and are willing to grind Denarii for it.

Consumables are single-use items that grant temporary or instant effects. Buy them from the Shop once you reach Level 10, then use them from the Arca or your Character page.

• Gloria Boost — increases all Gloria earned from Tasks for a set duration.
• Gloria Protection — blocks a portion of Gloria penalties from overdue items.
• Streak Protection — extends the number of days your streak is protected against resets.
• Streak Advance — instantly advances your streak by 1 day.
• Sell Boost — doubles Denarii received from selling items for 1 hour.

When a Task or Mandate goes overdue, a popup appears on the Dashboard requiring you to resolve it.

Options

• Complete Task — awards full Gloria, no penalty. Use if you finished but forgot to click Complete.
• Not Completed — the item is deleted and a one-time Gloria penalty is deducted.
• Reschedule — pick a new due date. No penalty applied.

Penalty Amounts

• Overdue Task: −100 Gloria (one-time).
• Overdue Mandate: −Gloria Reward (one-time).
• A Shield reduces the loss.

Historia is your activity log — a complete record of every Gloria transaction. Use it to review your productivity over time and see which Mandates are generating the most progress.
